Playing porn games clearly isn’t just a fad that will fade away in due time. With mainstream platforms becoming less restrictive in the games it features, porn games are surfacing in mainstream circles at an astounding rate.

In fact, according to Free Adult’s top list of adult websites, porn games are the fastest growing type of game and porn. Some might call that a virtual revolution of sorts while others may see it as a sign that people are becoming more outwardly creepy.

Of course, there’s also been some hesitance to embrace porn games by Internet safety advocates who claim that downloading porn-anything is inherently risky. Well, they are correct. But also somewhat disingenuous to only include porn games given that Internet fraud occurs across more mainstream genres than adult. In 2018 alone, there were over 14 million cases of Identity theft. I can promise you, most people who play porn games don’t type in their real names. Or for heaven’s sake, I sure hope they don’t.

Playing it safe online is a full time job, not just something you do while getting your porn vibe fill.

That said, if you are down with porn games, it might be a good idea to take some online safety precautions so you don’t get swindled by nefarious actors.

Hide Your IP With a VPN

Its difficult for me to fathom why so many people don’t use a VPN while surfing the web. I suppose it’s mostly because people don’t understand what a VPN is. It sounds super technical, but at its core, it’s a very simple concept.

A VPN is a Virtual Private Network.

So let’s get super remedial, shall we?

You are at home. Let’s say you have Verizon Internet in your home. You search Google for “Running Shoes.” Maybe you’re browning in Private Mode. Maybe you are logged out of your Google account.

You feel safe, right?

Not so fast. Every search, every site you click on or type in, is likely logged by Verizon. And most likely, Verizon owns that data and can resell it to marketers. I’ve never read Verizon’s TOS, so I could be wrong, but that’s the jist of what the ultimate issue is.

When you turn a VPN on, it assigns you a new IP that’s typically nowhere near where you are now. Maybe it’s in Denver. Or Sydney, Australia. One thing is sure, it’s not where you are now.

This means that your searches and web browsing data goes through an anonymous server that doesn’t store the logs. This doesn’t mean your ISP won’t log your bandwidth, they will, they just don’t see the content behind that bandwidth.

Things get more complicated on public WIFIs where your IP can be exposed. This helps a criminal track you. The VPN hides your IP address. According to a writer at Best VPN, hiding your IP address can dramatically lower your potential for becoming a cybercrime victim.

So what does a VPN and porn games have to do with one another?

On some porn games, you may chat, or put in anonymous information into a form field. For example, you may need a first date to partake in a virtual reality porn game. Anytime you fill out a form field, you expose your IP. This isn’t just on porn game sites, it is anywhere. In fact, just logging onto a website can expose your IP address and place your identity at risk.

When you turn on your trusty VPN, you hide your IP address. This in turn limits your risk.

While hiding your IP address through a VPN is my top safety tip for surfing porn games, there are others that follow closely.

Don’t Give Out Read Information In Porn Games

A lot of people are baffled when I say this. Because most people think it a far stretch that someone would convey their real identity while playing a porn game. But it happens more than you think and not because the porn game ask for it.

Many porn games are part of a larger community. People can chat, meet, and in some cases, end up dating. All the same, there are elements of bad out there waiting to strike. They pretend to be nice, well nicely perverted, people who just want to chat about a virtual porn game experience. But really, they are phishing for your information.

Never give out your information during a porn game, or really anywhere online, unless you can verify its a trustworthy source. And on a porn game, I hate to break your heart, that’s pretty much impossible. If someone on a porn game hits you up to chat and starts asking you for any information, block them.

Download Porn Games At Your Own Risk

Most of the legit free porn game sites allow you to play in browser, rarely will you need to download a game. There are some bigger games, or trusted paid porn game sites, which offer downloads. That’s fine. But mostly, you want to stream the game in a browser. The moment you download anything from the Internet, you put your computer and all the information on that computer and other computers on your network at risk.

Avoid downloading a porn game as much as possible, no matter how tempting it may be. If you want to download a porn game, make sure you are using a reputable porn game site such as the ones listed in Free Adult’s best free Porn Game sites section.

Don’t Stray

If a porn game tries to direct you to another site, its probably not for a good reason. Stay where you are. Most major porn game sites attempt to review games, but they can’t keep up with submissions. So a porn game developer could slide in a link that directs you to a scam. Be smart.

Porn games are fun, they are growing in popularity, but they aren’t without risks. If you use best web browsing safety practices, you should be fine. If your instincts alert you that something feels wrong, move on. There are plenty of other porn games in the pervert sea, my friends.
