Joel Jackson designed Lettuce Lake Conservation Park with the intention of making it an enjoyable and educational nature experience for all. 

The park features a variety of amenities including a 1.25-mile paved trail, 3,500 foot boardwalk with observation tower, and picnic areas. 

The park was renamed in honor of Joel Jackson at a ceremony hosted by Hillsborough County Administrator Bonnie Wise on August 31st.
